The therapy program alleviates the many challenges that are the result of trauma and prevents related social and psychological problems surfacing in adulthood.<\/p>\n<p>Their expressive therapy program is founded upon the importance of early intervention; the transformative power of expressive therapies, creativity, and play; and the incredible ability of the brain to change itself. When children are overwhelmed by their experiences, KidsXpress\u2019 approach changes the trajectory of these children\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n<p>Through the specialist expressive therapy program, school-aged children up to 14 years-old are given creative and emotional resources like drama, art, music and play to work through problems in ways that build strength, understanding, and resilience as children process their challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The KidsXpress program has been tested through international academic research. Its results are groundbreaking and this approach to therapy is gaining increasing attention due to its effectiveness. The programs are continually refined to support close to 500 families per annum, all thanks to the generosity of their fundraisers.<\/p>\n<p>Founder Margo Ward speaks highly of the Bowral Classic\u2019s fundraising scheme and recognises the leverage that an event like this can give to charity organisations like her own.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvents like the Bowral Classic provide opportunities to individuals, families, friends and colleagues to come to together under the banner of personal physical challenge ultimately making a difference to others. Events like this raise vital funds that inspire others to think and act beyond themselves\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Members of the KidsXpress Board and staff will be participating in the Bowral Classic event in October.<\/p>\n<p>Along with their participation in the event, the KidsXpress cycling team are welcoming everyone to their training rides that will depart from Manly and head to Palm Beach for a cup of coffee and conversation before returning to Manly. Group riding skills and plenty of encouragement will be offered to riders wishing to support KidsXpress and get ready for the Bowral Classic.<\/p>\n<p>Join KidsXpress on Friday August 26 and\/or the following week in September, where KidsXpress will be there to explain more about what they do to help children impacted by trauma in need of emotional therapy.
