Cervelo have updated their race gravel bike, the iconic \u00c1spero.<\/p>\n

Standout improvements on the 2024 version of the revered gravel platform include changes to the frameset (more on that below), along with the use of a threaded BB shell, much neater cable routing up front, and a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger.<\/p>\n

As you can see in the accompanying images of our test bike (with the full review coming soon), the seat\u00a0stays have been dropped to assist with more compliance\u00a0out back. Lowered seat stays increase flexibility in the seat tube, facilitating easier weight shifting and navigation through technical terrain.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also reduced front-end stiffness slightly to boost overall comfort, and more tyre clearance (with space for up to a whopping 45mm should you wish to go extra big).<\/p>\n

Cervelo say the result of the changes are \u2018a bike that feels a lot like the original Aspero, but is faster, more comfortable, and more versatile.\u2019<\/p>\n

The revised \u00c1spero frameset is slightly heavier at 1,141gr for a size-56cm frame (up from 1,100gr), it boasts a lighter 452gr fork (6gr lighter than its predecessor).

Adjustments to the frame\u2019s shape, including a more heavily sloping top tube and reduced standover height, help enhance the bike\u2019s agility. And the adoption of a standard round profile at the seat tube allows for compatibility with a gravel dropper post, supported by internal-routing provisions.<\/p>\n

Price wise, built bikes will range from $4,100 through to $8,000 \u2013 impressive given the reputation of the Aspero and quality we\u2019ve come to expect from Cervelo.<\/p>\n
