A clean bike is a happy bike\u2014and a reliable one! After your final training ride, give your bike a solid clean. Pay close attention to the frame, forks, fittings, pedals, and drivetrain. Take a good look at both your front and rear tyres. Any wear, flat spots, or stray objects hiding in the treads? If so, it\u2019s time for a tyre swap.<\/p>\n

<\/h4>\nQuick releases and thru-axles need regular attention. Make sure to clean around them when prepping your bike for the Bowral Classic. Dirt and grime can loosen them up, and you don\u2019t want that happening on race day! Tighten the skewer or axle firmly and ensure the cam action is properly secured. A light dab of grease will keep things spinning smoothly.<\/p>\n
Grab your trusty Allen keys and check all hex bolts on your bike. These little bolts can loosen over time, so make sure everything\u2019s tight and in line with the manufacturer\u2019s recommended settings.<\/p>\n
