Proud custodians Tim and Pam Adams are the friendly faces you’ll see at the landmark property at 7 Dominic Street, Clare – the building that now bears Mr Mick’s name and houses a renowned restaurant, cellar door and gallery. Tim, and winemaker Brett Schutz, continue Mr. Mick’s philosophy of making affordable wines for everyone to enjoy introducing consumers to new and different varietals as well as crafting fine quality traditional wines.
So what makes these wines so unique?
“Mr Mick was never one to shy away from new and innovative concepts in winemaking,” says Tim. “Many of these concepts became very successful wines, well known in Australian winemaking history. We continue this philosophy, making easy-going styles of wine that create interest and satisfy many tastes.”

Over the past 6 years, the Mr. Mick portfolio has expanded into alternative varietals following recent consumer trends. The range now features Pinot Grigio, Tempranillo, Sangiovese Rose, Novo Sangiovese and Vermentino, sitting comfortably with traditional Clare Valley varieties and blends such as Riesling, Shiraz and Cabernet Merlot. Introducing consumers to new and different varietals as well as crafting fine quality traditional wines is all part of the Mr Mick Wines philosophy of making wines for everyone.

“Mr. Mick once said there are two types of people in the world,” Tim continued. “Those who were born in Clare and those who wished they had been … and we couldn’t agree more.”
