It is with enormous regret and incredible sadness we announce the 2020 Clare Classic has been cancelled.
This is due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic and is in line with Federal & State government guidelines for the virus, and in step with decisions made by organisers of many other major events across the nation and around the world. Word on a future Clare Classic will be given at a later date.
The health and safety of our riders is always front and centre of everything we do and this decision has been extremely difficult to make.
Similar to the recent bushfire crisis, affected communities need our support and the Clare Valley is no different. Over on our social channels a large number of riders have indicated they are still heading to Clare to sample the local wines, ride the wonderful roads and make the most of the region. We fully support this and urge riders to keep communities and the bike industry buoyant through these difficult times. See Bicyling Australia for more details on how to lend your support.
All riders should have now received 100% of their entry fees back. You would have also been sent an email confirmation regarding the refund. We do hope you will stick with the Bicycling Australia family and join one of our other events. Use the code ‘CLARE10’ for a 10% discount on the Bowral Classic in October. Rest assured we have a rock-solid COVID-19 100% refund policy for all our events.
