As essential as they are, a second pair of specs is something I\u2019d rather not carry while out cycling.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wide Range Of Options<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"font-family: Times;font-size: large\"><span class=\"\">I chose the +1.50\u2019s, the closest match to my current set of trusty readers. Other\u2019s in the BZ Optics range are +2.00 and +2.50.<\/span><span class=\"\"><b class=\"\">\u00a0<\/b><\/span><span class=\"\">Not having previously used bi focals, it took about 10 to 15 minutes to get used to the position of the\u00a0inserts neatly situated in the lower inner corners of the\u00a0lens.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\"><span style=\"font-family: Times;font-size: large\">Soon i<\/span><\/span><span class=\"\"><span style=\"font-family: Times;font-size: large\">nto the local loop I soon got in the habit of lowering my eyes (not my head) to check the bike computer. To quickly glance and see the display data in large clear, sharp,\u00a0text is a joy &#8211; close range clarity you\u2019ll quickly get used to.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3609\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3609\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3609\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clareclassic.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0193-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3609\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">BZ Optics are available in a wide range of colours and lens options.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\"><span style=\"font-family: Times;font-size: large\">Similarly, when at the cafe along the way it was great to be able to enjoy a coffee in the bright sunshine while glancing down at the mobile phone and see the screen with no trouble at all, and the readers still in the jersey pocket.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>From Clear To Dark<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\"><span style=\"font-family: Times;font-size: large\">Back on the road and the photochromatic lenses transitioned from clear to dark\u00a0quickly and\u00a0efficiently making the PHOs perfect for early starts or all-day rides. Walk outside and you\u2019ll see the change, ride from bright sun through to a heavily treed and shaded section of road, as we did during the test, and the BZ\u2019s will lighten accordingly. This was particularly useful when riding a dark, shadowy descent at speed with clear, bright vision being critical for safety.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\"><span style=\"font-family: Times;font-size: large\">With the PHO range BZ Optics have successfully developed sunglasses that can be used at all hours of the day.\u00a0They feature a lightweight flexible frame and replaceable lenses held in with small but secure clips.\u00a0Other than being very light at only 27 grams, they feel exceptionally sturdy in the hand.
