Australia’s premier Gran Fondo series will roll into stunning Noosa for a weekend of fun in and out of the saddle on August 17/18.
And now is the perfect time to start planning your trip, with prices starting from as little as $172 return from Sydney and $208 from Melbourne.
Now is also a great opportunity to sign up and kick-start your training for the event before the wet, windy and dark winter months creep onto the horizon.
With three course lengths available, there’s sure to be a route to satisfy all tastes, abilities and fitness levels. For the more hardcore (and brave) riders out there, you can take on the 160km Maxi Classic. If you have more modest sights but still want to test yourself, the 120km Challenge Classic could well be for you. And for those wanting a more leisurely roll around the Noosa hinterland, then the 45km Social Classic is sure to keep you (and the lungs and legs!) very happy indeed.
Following a hugely successful 2018 – where 1,200 riders took part in the Sunday ride – this year, the event will be bigger and better, with an anticipated 1,500 participants enjoying all that Noosa has to offer.

Having personally ridden in the 160km Classic last year, it’s certainly one of the most scenic rides in Australia as well as a great challenge, with those fun rolling hills in the heart of the Noosa Hinterland.

Held on traffic-free roads, the Noosa Classic is a fantastic opportunity to ride uninterrupted through one of the most beautiful regions in Australia, and just like its sister events, the Bowral Classic and the Clare Valley Classic, Noosa will offer an unrivalled opportunity to mix with other like-minded riders for the weekend.
What’s more, the Noosa Classic offers riders the chance to do some good and contribute to the worthy cause of their choice. With the “You Decide, You Choose” fundraising approach, there are no limitations on the charity each participant can raise money for, adding to the $300,000 already raised across the previous six Classic events.
