Come for the cycling stay for the beaches! Or is it the other way round? Either way no trip to Noosa is complete without a trip to some of its stunning coastline.
Whether you want to take a dip or just have a stroll we have tracked down the top five beaches for you to check out on Noosa Classic weekend!
Noosa Main Beach
Aside from being right up against Hastings Street there are many reasons this strip has a reputation for being a fantastic all-round experience. Protected by the headland, this beach is perfect for those who aren’t particularly strong swimmers, making it ideal for families. You can take surf lessons as well and with food and amenities merely footsteps away Noosa Main Beach is your first-stop shop.
Sunshine Beach
Located on the southern side of Noosa National Park, Sunshine Beach is a breathtaking 15 km of sandy coastline. It’s not all golden sand and stunning blue water however. The township bearing the same name has a burgeoning cafe scene as well as boutique shops so you can combine the best of both worlds.

Noosa North Shore
For those wanting a bit more adventure, Noosa North Shore is the perfect choice. Take the ferry across the river and you can find some of the most stunning coastline Australia has to offer. This strip also serves as a gateway to Fraser Island and the Great Sandy National Park.
You can ride horses, go four wheel driving and try out kayaking on nearby Lake Cooroibah.

Castaways Beach
Not nearly as ominous as the name sounds, this spot is quite popular with local surfers. It is however a non-patrolled area so perhaps one better suited for walks. It is also an off-leash dog area so if four-legged friends are your thing then it sounds like heaven on Earth.

Tea Tree Bay
Wonderfully named, Tea Tree Bay is located in the heart of Noosa National Park. Perfect for those wanting to escape the noise of Noosa’s main strip, Tea Tree Bay’s beaches, rock pools and shady trees are an ideal time-out. Similar to Castaways Beach it is not patrolled by lifeguards so swimming is not recommended.
