We’re calling it ‘research’ … the tough job of reporting from Noosa as we ride and review the 45km, 120km & 160km courses of the Noosa Classic.
Here’s the first in a series of posts as we look at the picturesque and quiet country roads of the Moy Pocket, Imbil, Tuchekoi and Kin Kin sections of the 160km Maxi Classic course.
Initial impressions? Minimal traffic, friendly and courteous locals, quaint little villages to stop for coffee or lunch, and absolutely stunning rolling countryside. The road surfaces are – in the majority – fast, conducive to a solid pace, and lively.
The Noosa coastal strip is busy and bustling however most major roads do feature well marked bike lanes. A short ride from town – just an hour or so out to the hills – and you’ll have the opportunity to spend countless hours exploring new roads and enjoying the stunning scenery.
