The 2022 Noosa Classic has been officially launched with the 4th annual event scheduled to take place on Sunday August 14 in the glorious Noosa region north of Brisbane.
Gaining a reputation as Queenslandâs finest Gran Fondo, the popular event will cater for all riders â from keen amateurs to top-level pros.
The 2021 Noosa Classic was run as a Queensland-only event. This year riders from around Australia will be thrilled to be able to return to Noosa to not only enjoy stunning cycling but the best the iconic holiday and tourism destination has to offer. Additionally, like in previous years, riders from places further afield such as New Zealand, Asia and Europe are expected to sign up for the event + enjoy a dream bike break in Noosa.
The 2022 Noosa Classic is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland and features on the Itâs Live! in Queensland events calendar.
The August event will feature three courses â the 65km âRouleurs Classicsâ, 120km Challenge Classic and the big one â the 160km Maxi Classic. All courses have been painstakingly designed to offer the best of the pristine Noosa region. From the subtropical coast to the rich and lush Hinterland, riders will enjoy the best of greater Noosa.
Like many fellow cyclists from the southern states, Classics Founder James Yaffa canât wait to enjoy Queenslandâs warm winter and again ride the Noosa region.
âWe are truly excited to be heading back to Noosa for the fourth Noosa Classic,â he said.
âAnd this yearâs event will be particularly significant with interstate and overseas riders able to again travel to âthe Sunshine Stateâ. To imagine close to 2000 riders back together â after such a tumultuous period that weâve all been through over the past few years â the 2022 Noosa Classic will offer riders, sponsors, locals and supporters a real reason to celebrate.â
Early Bird pricing is now open and riders can find out more information about Noosa Classic pricing on the home page of this site.
