You Choose, You Decide

The Noosa Classic is offering a refreshing approach to event fundraising. Our mission is to provide both individual riders and teams the opportunity to fundraise for whichever charity they wish to support.

We are giving the power back to riders. You choose a cause you are passionate about.

Since the inaugural Bowral Classic event in 2016, the Classic events have raised over $400,000 for charities across Australia.

All charities can participate and use the Noosa Classic event to raise much needed funds. For our preferred charity partners, please see below.

World Bicycle Relief mobilises people through The Power of Bicycles. Our mission is to create access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities in rural communities where distance is a challenge. More than a billion people in rural regions lack access to reliable roads and affordable transportation, making it difficult for low-income communities to break the cycle of poverty. World Bicycle Relief combines impactful nonprofit programs with social enterprise sales to meet the staggering need for reliable, accessible transportation in rural regions. We believe that mobility is a fundamental human right. With a Buffalo Bicycle, purpose-built to carry heavy loads on rough roads, people can conquer the challenge of distance, achieve independence, and thrive.

There is no greater generosity than that which saves a life. As the charity supporting Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH), other hospitals and life-saving research, RBWH Foundation exists to connect those who wish to give with the most potent opportunities to make a difference, now and in the future. Supporting patient care and saving lives, through the extraordinary power of giving. As the Foundation for RBWH, they work closely with RBWH, or Team Royal as they are affectionately known, to achieve the goals of providing the very best patient outcomes, and to be at the forefront of better health care for everyone.

1. Personalise

Make your fundraising page as personalised as possible! Change the font, include pictures, even include a video! Show your donors why you care and how their support will make a difference.

2. Dare

Dare yourself! Make a promise to your donors: if you reach a certain target, you’ll… Shave your head, bake them all cookies, ride that extra 50km, or anything else you can think of! It’s a great way to incentivise donors and keep those funds coming once you’ve hit your target.

3. Social Media

It’s not real unless it’s on Facebook! Make an initial status when you first create your page and update all your friends and family on your progress. Have a count down, put up pictures, and remind everyone that they can help make a difference. Also – don’t forget about Instagram! Gramming your progress and using #hashtags are a great way of connecting with like-minded people and getting some inspiration and motivation along the way.
