They call it their &#8216;people first&#8217; philosophy, that means they always look to put people as their number one priority. Heritage Bank&#8217;s ownership structure means that, unlike the big banks, they&#8217;re not driven by the need to maximise profits. They&#8217;re not listed on the ASX, so we don\u2019t serve the interests of investors looking for a financial return on their share-holding.<br \/>\nRather, Heritage customers are Heritage owners. Every person who opens an account at Heritage becomes a part-owner of the business.<\/p>\n<p>Because they don\u2019t pay dividends, a more modest profit is targeted, and they keep all the profit they make and use that to provide customers with better value and a better banking experience. It\u2019s an ownership structure which really does deliver great value for customers. In fact, customers were more than $68 million better off by banking with Heritage last financial year when compared with the big four banks, according to Canstar research.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclingclassics.com.au\/noosa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/05\/Heritage-Bank-enews-image-768x402.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5527\" style=\"display: block; margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Not only do customers benefit financially, they also have a more satisfying customer experience, and that\u2019s why Heritage Bank recently took out the title of Australia\u2019s Bank of the Year 2018 in the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards. The survey was based on the results of monthly surveys of bank customers across the country, so taking out the top spot was a fantastic achievement for the bank.<\/p>\n<p>One big reason customers endorse Heritage so strongly is the way they support our communities. Because they&#8217;re focused on the best interests of customers, they pride themselves on giving back to customers&#8217; communities.<\/p>\n<p>Supporting the Noosa Classic is a great example of that community spirit in action and Heritage see the ride weekend as a wonderful event for the whole of the Sunshine Coast, bringing an influx of visitors and stimulating the regional economy.
