In addition to being a keen cyclist she is the founder of triathlon club <a href=\"https:\/\/tribabes.co\/\">TriBabes<\/a>. An all-female club, Tribabes was set-up with the purpose of helping \u2018women by providing an empowering and safe environment to give triathlon a go.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>We sat down with Hannah to hear her thoughts ahead of the 2019 Noosa Classic!<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC:<\/strong> <strong>How did you get into cycling?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HH:<\/strong> I started cycling because I wanted to start triathlons, I purchased my first road bike which was a second hand steel frame bike and never looked back. I went from being dropped off the back of the slow group to over the years winning my age group at Noosa Tri back to back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC: Whereabouts are you based?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HH:<\/strong> I live in Brisbane so not too far from Noosa at all!<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC:<\/strong> <strong>Are you part of a club?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HH:<\/strong> I own TriBabes which is the only women\u2019s specific triathlon squad in Queensland to my knowledge. We have a few TriBabes riding in the event!<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC:<\/strong> <strong>Moving onto the Noosa Classic itself what\u2019s challenging about cycling in the region?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HH:<\/strong> While I didn\u2019t participate last year I am no stranger to the region. I would have to say the hills. I have a love\/hate relationship with them, but I do find them very rewarding and, oh, the gains make them worth it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC:<\/strong> <strong>What&#8217;s your favourite part of the course?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HH:<\/strong> The scenery, it is so beautiful and having the best of both worlds with the hinterland and then the ocean views, how lucky we are to live in such an amazing place!<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC: What course are you doing this year?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HH:<\/strong> I will be participating in the 160km Maxi Classic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC:<\/strong> <strong>Any tips for new riders?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HH:<\/strong> Don\u2019t go out too hard, don\u2019t forget to take in the scenery and give yourself and your buddies a big high five when you finish because it is an achievement.<\/p>\n<p>You can follow Hannah\u2019s cycling adventures on <a href=\"https:\/\/tribabes.co\/pages\/about?contact%5Bemail%5D=&amp;contact%5Btags%5D=newsletter&amp;form_type=customer#ContactFooter\">Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hannah Hogan is a Noosa Classic Ambassador like no other.
