Your Noosa Classic Checklist<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a handy checklist to help ensure you\u2019ve got everything together for this year’s event!<\/p>\n

Your bike \u2013 Serviced, the chain lubed, tyres properly inflated and all ready to ride.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Cycling Kit\u00a0 \u2013 (Suitable for the conditions) . Socks, your Noosa Classic jersey, gloves and an under shirt is always a good idea for the early morning!<\/p>\n

\u2022 Cycling shoes<\/p>\n

\u2022 Helmet<\/p>\n

\u2022 Sunglasses<\/p>\n

\u2022 Cycling cap<\/p>\n

\u2022 Photo ID<\/p>\n

\u2022 Sun Screen<\/p>\n

\u2022 Multi Tool<\/p>\n

\u2022 2 x water bottles<\/p>\n

\u2022 Your fully charged bike computer<\/p>\n

\u2022 Nutrition \u2013 Muesli bars & nutrition products along with GU Energy products & bananas will be supplied at each rest stop along the way.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Bike Pump\u00a0 \u2013 One on the bike and a track up in the car for the pre-ride top up. There will be pumps available at the start area but be warned \u2013 it will be busy.<\/p>\n

\u2022 2 x inner tubes \u2013 Riders should be able to change tubes by themselves. Not so familiar with this \u2013 it\u2019s a critical skill to have and it would be a good idea to practice before the event.<\/p>\n

\u2022 An air canister, cartridges & tyre levers.<\/p>\n

Why Is Getting My Bike Serviced Crucial?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The build-up to the 2021 Noosa Classic Gran Fondo cycling event has us pretty excited and we\u2019ve been bringing you destination advice, course maps and so much more.<\/p>\n

But one thing we haven\u2019t talked about is the all-important bike service.<\/p>\n

Much like the automobile, a bike service is something that quite often gets avoided or forgotten despite its essential nature.<\/p>\n

Make no mistake, it\u2019s vital everyone registered for Noosa puts their beloved bike in for a check and service at the Local Bike Shop.<\/p>\n

Obviously all bikes should be serviced regularly – especially those used for major Gran Fondo events such as the Noosa Classic.<\/p>\n

Here’s what to remember:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Make sure your brake pads – disc or rim – are good condition<\/p>\n

\u2022 Your wheels are true and rolling well<\/p>\n

\u2022 Your tyres are ready for at least your chosen distance<\/p>\n

\u2022 Ensure all hex bolts are properly tightened<\/p>\n

\u2022 You can do a lot of the above yourself, but we recommend booking a service at your Local Bike Shop just to be sure.<\/p>\n
