He has supported other Classics series events including several Noosa and Bowral Classics, which he said both had great atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>But he particularly enjoys riding on his home roads, particularly with many other enthusiasts at the Snowy Classic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s definitely special to see thousands of people enjoying your home terrain,\u201d he said. \u201cYou obviously get a little bit of an advantage knowing the roads. And you push a little bit harder when you\u2019ve got hundreds of people around you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd also a few spectators on the side of the road as the community always gets around all the events that come to Jindabyne.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>A BoostFor The Region<\/b><\/p>\n<p>As with past events, he said cyclists will also return during other times of the year when roads are not closed and will contribute to local tourism. An introduction through events like this help in future.<\/p>\n<p>Lachie is expecting a strong field but is hopeful of his chances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m pretty well known as the mountain or Jindy boy,\u201d said Lachie when discussing the camaraderie among riders. He also noted cheekily there is often requests for accommodation from fellow riders.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2619\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2619\" style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2619 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclingclassics.com.au\/snowy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/11\/SWC_2023_maxi-combined-768x960.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1250\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2619\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Like last year, Lachie will be lining up for the 170 Maxi Classic event that includes 2800+ metres of climbing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>All About The Terrain<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lachie knows why many people visit the Snowy Mountains saying it\u2019s the terrain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe main attraction would be the mountainous terrain, we are one of very few places in Australia to get that mountainous terrain.
