We&#8217;re just four months out from the 2024 Snowy Classic, and with Silly Season upon us, there&#8217;s no better time to get organised and ensure we start 2024 with a bang!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.colabcoaching.com.au\/#colab-about\">CoLab<\/a> Coaching provides custom training plans and coaching for competitive and fitness cyclists. Established in 20 15, CoLab is owned by Head Coach Geoff Nash, an accredited AusCycling and Training Peaks coach. CoLab are specialists in assisting athletes who want to maximise their available training time while keeping a healthy life balance &#8211; sounds ideal, right?! Lucky for you, our friends at CoLab have created a 16 week training plan to ensure you&#8217;re fighting fit this 2024 Snowy Classic. So whether you&#8217;re tackling the 110km Challenge Classic or taking on the 140km Maxi Classic beast, there&#8217;s a tailored training plan for you&#8230;and the best part is, it&#8217;s FREE!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3587 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/cyclingclassics.com.au\/snowy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/11\/CoLab_Mono_Logo-768x248.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"97\" \/>Your training plan is divided into 4 \u201cBlocks\u201d of 4 weeks. Typically each block consists of 3 \u201cBuild Weeks\u201d followed by a \u201cRecovery Week\u201d. This is a very tried and tested pattern where each Build Week is a little harder than the last. The increase in difficulty is achieved by adding more time or making your intervals harder or longer. It\u2019s expected that you will feel tired at times and rest days are built into your plan. The aim is to extend yourself, not break yourself. You should never feel exhausted and don\u2019t be afraid to rest when you need to!<\/p>\n<p>Starting 16 weeks out means there is no need to rush, and it allows adequate recovery.
