It’s Your Turn to Choose and Decide

Over the past couple of months we have been featuring a number of charity organisations with the intention of introducing their great work to our loyal Bowral Classic readers.

We have covered a huge number of charities from across Australia, but now it’s time to choose and decide what charity you want to raise vital funds for, all while getting fit and in shape for the Bowral Classic ride in October.

Here is a recap of all the organisations we have covered!

Bravehearts is a child protection organisation with a mission to prevent child sexual assault through educating, empowering and protecting Aussie kids.”


Cerebral-Palsy-Alliance-LargeCerebral Palsy Alliance:

“The Cerebral Palsy Alliance is an Australian initiative that started as a humble family based organisation established almost 70 years ago and has grown into one of the most renowned Cerebral Palsy research facilities in the world. The organisation also provides a range of services to support people living with a broad range of disabilities and their families.”

beyondblue is an independent, bipartisan organisation that works to raise awareness of depression, anxiety and suicide prevention, break down the stigma associated with mental illness and empower Australians to seek support when they are doing it tough, including by contacting the beyondblue Support Service, which is available 24/7 by phone on 1300 22 4636 or via support.

The Kids’ Cancer Project:

“The Kids’ Cancer Project is an independent charity dedicated to helping kids with cancer through research.”

Rare Cancers Australia:

“Rare Cancers Australia- established and head-quartered in Bowral, has been providing financial and compassionate support to rare and less common cancer (RLC) patients since June 2012.  The organisation’s mission is to improves the lives and outcomes for Australians living with rare and less common cancers.”

“KidsXpress was established in 2005 when its founder committed to changing children’s lives by helping them recover from trauma. The therapy program alleviates the many challenges that are the result of trauma and prevents related social and psychological problems surfacing in adulthood.”
