The Bowral Classic is offering a refreshing approach to event fundraising. Our mission is to provide both individual riders and teams the opportunity to fundraise for whichever charity they wish to support.

We are giving the power back to riders. You choose a cause you are passionate about.

Since the inaugural Bowral Classic event in 2016, the Classic events have raised over $400,000 for charities across Australia.

All charities can participate and use the Bowral Classic event to raise much needed funds. For our preferred charity partners, please see below.

Our Charity Partners

ASPECT is Australia’s largest service provider for people on the autism spectrum. Their specialised, evidence informed schools program is one of the largest in the world, with additional services that include information and advice, diagnostic assessments, behaviour support, parent and family support, and adult programs.

Little legs foundation wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. They believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through sharing their story and raising much needed awareness and funds, their team works each day to contribute their part to the ultimate goal of helping find a cure for childhood brain cancer.

Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney aims to empower and support individuals and communities to be resilient and suicide safe through the provision of our crisis support and suicide prevention services. They provide support to Australians experiencing a crisis through their 13 11 14 Crisis Support Line, free financial counselling service, suicide support groups and community and corporate training.

Every person with connect with helps keep someone safe. Every dollar they raise supports the provision of our community services. Every call they answer to 13 11 14 could save someone’s life. Lifeline Macarthur operates to support Lifeline’s vision of an Australia free of suicide.

1. Personalise

Make your fundraising page as personalised as possible! Change the font, include pictures, even include a video! Show your donors why you care and how their support will make a difference.

2. Dare

Dare yourself! Make a promise to your donors: if you reach a certain target, you’ll… Shave your head, bake them all cookies, ride that extra 50km, or anything else you can think of! It’s a great way to incentivise donors and keep those funds coming once you’ve hit your target.

3. Social Media

It’s not real unless it’s on Facebook! Make an initial status when you first create your page and update all your friends and family on your progress. Have a count down, put up pictures, and remind everyone that they can help make a difference. Also – don’t forget about Instagram! Gramming your progress and using #hashtags are a great way of connecting with like-minded people and getting some inspiration and motivation along the way.
