Visit The Bradman Museum

By 30 August 20232023 News

Bowral is synonymous with local legend, Don Bradman, who was himself a keen bike rider in his younger years. Cycling helped Bradman’s all-round fitness, particularly his aerobic fitness for making all those runs! But cycling changed his life in more ways than one – legend has it that Don met his wife of 65 years, Jessie, after a fall off his bicycle.

A visit to the Bradman Museum and iconic Bradman Oval is a must-do on your trip to Bowral. Bradman Museum is offering a special deal for Bowral Classic participants. Just show proof of registration for the Bowral Classic and receive a discounted admission of $23.50 instead of $30.00.

No need to race through the museum! Take your time to enjoy the comprehensive displays of cricket memorabilia and interactive exhibits. Don Bradman’s first bat is proudly shown in the Bradman Gallery and Shane Warne’s baggy green that fetched $1 million has found a home at Bradman Museum. The cap joins a collection of thirty baggy greens dating from the 1800’s to now.

The museum shares the stories and people who shape the spirit of cricket and celebrate the way cricket brings together many cultures from around the world with the enduring power to inspire millions.

Bradman Foundation exists to promote and support the link between mental wellbeing and performance potential in young people, whatever their chosen path. This could be on the cricket pitch, the cycling course, arts, science and technology, business or beyond.

We are inspired by the life and legacy of Don Bradman, a man who was famous for his strength of character and ability to rise to any challenge.
