Ride for a reason with The Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Bowral Classic

By 3 June 2019Charity News

We are delighted to announce that Make-A-Wish Australia has come on board as one of the official charity partners for the 2019 Bowral Classic. What’s more, Make-A-Wish has generously offered to refund entry fees for riders who can raise at least $1,000 for the charity.

Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. They work in partnership with sick kids, their families and medical teams to deliver unforgettable wish experiences – like making unicorns fly, sending kids to the moon and even helping Australia’s youngest cricket captain don the baggy green. Make-A-Wish Australia’s vision is to grant the wish of every eligible child and today, Make-A-Wish has more than 700 kids on a Wish Journey.

Wishes transform the lives of sick kids, their families and communities. Research shows that wishes work to complement medical treatment, helping to calm, distract and empower sick kids at the time they need it most. When a wish is realised, a child discovers that despite their situation, anything is possible.

So sign up to the Bowral Classic 2019 in support of Make-A-Wish – simply select Make-A-Wish in the charity dropdown menu when registering.
