Tyres 101: What should your pressure be and other maintenance tips

By 15 October 20192019 News

Check your tyres before you ride! That’s the message from Schwalbe as we veer towards the 2019 Bowral Classic Gran Fondo cycling event!

Not long now until you will be rolling around the Southern Highlands and we know regardless of the distance you ride you are going to have a great day.

However there’s a few things that you should do prior to riding:

  • Check your tyres for wear and tear
  • Check your tyre pressure on ride day. Rougher country roads like those found in the Southern Highlands may call for a lower psi (e.g. 90) and if conditions are wet then even lower is recommended.
  • Make sure you have tubes, gas cylinders & tyre levers

We will also be checking tyre pressures for you, prior to the event.
