We’re proud to announce Guide Dogs NSW/ACT as the official Charity Partner for the 2026 Mudgee Classic.
Today and every day since 1957, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT has been empowering people with low vision or blindness to navigate their communities safely and independently. As the leading provider of Guide Dogs and Orientation and Mobility services, they support people of all ages to pursue activities that are meaningful to
them so they can live the life they choose.
Guide Dogs NSW/ACT work with Clients, their families and caregivers to increase their skills, confidence and access to support and accessibility tools, giving them more choice for how they go about their day-to-day lives.
Just ask Client Connections Specialist, Tony. Tony lost his sight 16 years ago, and today, he works in the Client Services Team at Guide Dogs, helping others navigate their own journeys with low vision or blindness. However, it’s his partnership with Solo that truly allows him to live life to the fullest.

After being a cane user for many years, Tony decided it was time for a Guide Dog. That’s when Solo came into his life! On February 14 the stars aligned, and Tony and Solo began their journey together. With Solo by his side, Tony can move independently throughout his everyday life. Their favourite activity to do together is
exploring. Whether it’s a beach walk, bush walk, or a trip to the supermarket, Tony can do it all with Solo by his side.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters and donors, Clients like Tony have access to life-changing services. You can get involved and support partnerships like Tony and Guide Dog Solo by visiting their website.
